Betsy Ross Elementary School
Houston Independent School District
5,782 sq. ft.
The scope of Betsy Ross Elementary School required phased exterior and interior improvements made available through an allocation of Trustee funds. Improvements began with design and construction of a new main entrance. The entry features a new canopy, the school’s name sandblasted into a new wall of rusticated CMU block, a new student seating area, landscaping and an herb garden. Phase 2 consisted of expanding the existing principal’s office, removing unused interior corridor lockers and creating student art display spaces. An outdoor learning area, student dining area and new building signage concluded this phase of construction.
