Herzstein Hall Renovations
4,206 sq. ft.
To keep up with their growing engineering department, changing curriculum, staff and student population, Rice University sought to renovate Herzstein Hall. The scope of services included space planning for expanded academic offices, conference space, study carols, and handicap accessibility to the main lecture hall.
In this renovation, placement of new partitions was critical to creating spaces that appeared to be a part of the original construction. Replicating finishes was also critical as the new offices needed to respect the aesthetic quality of the existing spaces. New paint and new light fixtures for four additional offices and the hallway were part of the project’s expanded scope.
