We are currently seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Recent Interior Design College Graduate to join our team.

Job Description

As a Recent College Graduate in Interior Design, you will play a valuable role in supporting our architecture and interior design teams, performing design, FF&E, and administrative tasks. This position involves preparing design documents and presentations, researching and compiling information for small projects and/or segments of larger projects, and contributing to the overall interior design process. This role is ideal for recent graduates eager to gain design, administrative, and construction experience in a collaborative environment on all scopes of interior design and FF&E.

Requirements

  • Professional degree in interior design from a CIDA-accredited program, or a professional architecture degree from an NAAB-accredited program with 0-3 years of relevant industry experience in the United States.
  • Basic understanding of the International Building Code (IBC) and ADA-related codes.
  • Proficiency in Revit and the Microsoft Suite is a must. (Exposure to Rhino, Sketchup, Bluebeam, Enscape, and Affinity software is desirable.)
  • With mentorship from project leadership, has the ability to integrate design solutions to meet project goals.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work through design challenges with guidance from project leadership.
  • Committed to high-quality work, with a focus on details and results.
  • Understanding of basic sustainable design practices and rating systems.
  • Strong design sensibility with an understanding of space planning and material selection.
  • Has excellent communication skills and exposure to working in group or team settings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to achieving design milestones including, but not limited to, preparing renderings, mood boards, material palettes, and construction documents.
  • Research, compile, and record information for small projects and/or selected segments of larger projects.
  • Research and source materials, finishes, furniture, and fixtures while starting to build industry relationships with vendors.
  • Perform basic design assignments with a detail-oriented approach.
  • Contribute to design layouts, options, and features, ensuring alignment with project goals.
  • Develop three-dimensional design ideas with guidance from project leadership.
  • Work through design problems and develop iterative solutions in collaboration with project leadership.
  • Integrate sustainable practices with the mentorship of project leadership.
  • Participate in Construction Administration activities.
